Morning Accident Causes Major Injuries

Jamestown, CA– A Modesto man suffered major injuries in a vehicle accident this morning.

According to the CHP, 25-year-old Adam Tomasevich of Mi Wuk Village was driving his truck northbound on O’byrnes Ferry Road north of Peoria Flat Road, when he stopped to make a left turn into a driveway.

Tuy Meas, 45 of Modesto, was traveling behind Tomasevich in his van, and for unknown reasons failed to notice Tomasevich had stopped until the last moment. Meas braked and swerved to the right but could not avoid a collision with Tomasevich. 

The accident caused Meas to be pinned inside his vehicle. He was removed by fire personnel and then flown to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto with major injuries. Tomasevich was uninjured.
