Southern California Man Killed In Accident

Valley Springs, CA– A Southern California man was killed in a solo vehicle accident Thursday afternoon near the Pardee Dam.

CHP Officer Gary Soria says the 47-year-old man from Rialto was traveling northbound on Sandretto Road just north of Campo Seco Road.

“For unknown reasons, he traveled off the west side of the roadway and collided with a tree,” said Officer Soria. “It’s unknown what time the collision actually occurred. There were no witnesses that saw the accident. One of the East Bay MUD employees was driving by and noticed that the vehicle was in some shrubs and so he stopped and called emergency personnel.”

The release of the man’s name is pending notification of next of kin.
