Miwuk Village, CA– The body of a Mi Wuk Man who fell into a river near Lyons Reservoir last Saturday has been found.

According to the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office, 21-year-old Ian Brandow had been fishing with family members when he fell into the water.

Just before noon today, search teams located Brandow’s body in a pool in the South Fork of the Stanislaus River.

In a cooperative effort, personnel from several search and rescue teams and fire agencies identified numerous areas where Brandow might be recovered. The water flow was then shut off at Lyon’s Dam for about 30 minutes.

When the water level receded enough for an effective search, teams entered predetermined areas and Brandow’s body was recovered within minutes.
