Funding Allocated To Transportation Projects

Sponsored by:

Sacramento, CA– The California Transportation Commission today allocated $58 million in new funding to 56 highway, transit, and rail projects statewide.

These projects are intended to support jobs, upgrade the state’s vital transportation system and stimulate economic growth.

“We’re putting together transportation dollars to work creating jobs and making transportation improvements that will benefit Californians today and for decades to come,” said Caltrans Director Cindy McKim.

Calaveras County was included in today’s project allocation. $350,000 was allocated to the Calaveras Council of Governments for an acquisition of a Conservation Easement on the 6,198 acre Rodden Ranch property in Calaveras and Stanislaus Counties.

This project will protect key Central Valley foothill blue oak woodland, extensive wildlife corridor open space and historic grazing practices.
