Winter Weather Causing Several Accidents

Sonora, CA– The CHP is reporting several traffic accidents in both Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties due to rain and snow this evening.

In Tuolumne County an accident has been reported on Highway 108 at Standard Road. On Phoenix Lake Road just east of Paseo De Los Portales, there is an injury accident with an ambulance responding. An accident has been reported on La Grange Road and Highway 120, multiple vehicles have spun out on Tuolumne Road at Soulsbyville Road, and on Bald Mountain Road at Telegraph Hill Road there is a report of a multi-vehicle collision.

In Calaveras County there have also been reports of vehicle spinouts due to icy roads. Travel with caution in the areas of Highway 4 just east of Pennsylvania Gulch Road, Highway 4 just west of Murphys and Highway 4 at Utica Powerhouse Road.
