Sonora Felony Firearms Arrest

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — The Sonora Police Department reports they were tipped off that 24 year old Timothy Vezina and his wife 30 year old Stephanie had firearms and ammunition stored in the attic crawl space of their home. Police say both Timothy and Stephanie had prior convictions which did not allow them to have firearms or ammunition.

Police say when they went to search the house last week, Stephanie and Timothy, along with their one year old son were leaving the home in their vehicle. They say Stephanie was driving and she was under the influence of methamphetamine, marijuana and Norco pills.

Both Stephanie and Timothy were arrested and charged with felony possession of firearms, felony possession of ammunition, felony possession of a controlled substance and felony child endangerment. Police say their 1 year old son was turned over to Child Welfare Services

During the search of the home police report they found two rifles, a shotgun and ammunition along with methamphetamine, syringes and several empty drug baggies in and around the child’s belonging.
