Funding For Buck Meadows Bridge

Sacramento, CA — The California Transportation Commission doled out $745 million yesterday, and a hefty chunk is coming to the Mother Lode.
Tuolumne County will receive nearly $2.9 million to replace the deck and upgrade the railing of the bridge on Highway 120 near Buck Meadows. It goes over the Big Oak Sidehill Viaduct. The project is designed to preserve the structural integrity of the bridge and reduce future maintenance costs.
In addition, the Tuolumne County Transportation Council will receive $60,000 for the planning of projects. The Calaveras Council of Governments will receive $67,000 for planning, programming and monitoring.
The money is from California’s Proposition 1B.
