Fatal Traffic Accident

A fatal traffic accident occurred Saturday afternoon, just west of Jamestown near the junction of Highways 108 and 49 (known as Montezuma Junction).
The head-on two vehicle accident was first reported shortly after 4 PM.
According to the California Highway Patrol, one vehicle involved was a Ford Crew Cab F350. It had major left front damage. The other vehicle involved was either a Toyota Camry or Corolla.
The westbound lanes of Highway 108 were closed for nearly three hours and traffic was detoured.
The name of the victim(s) have not been released, pending notification of family.
