Arnold Youth Dies During Storm

Arnold, CA — An eight year-old girl tragically died Sunday morning after a tree fell into a home on Moran Road in Arnold.
The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department says the girl was sleeping in her bedroom at the time. The incident happened at 6:25am.
The Sheriff’s Department is withholding the name of the girl at this time. The Ebbetts Pass Fire Department, Sheriff’s Office and CHP all responded. A winter storm system was passing through the region leaving heavy snow and downed trees.
