Columbia, CA — The Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools Office will host the second annual Anti-Bullying Summit at Columbia College for over 450 students, administrators, parents, school board members, and community partners from the all of the K-12 schools.

Tuolumne County Deputy Superintendent Margie Bulkin says, “I want to emphasize that the conference is really geared to focusing on positive behavior and improving positive school climate. We think that through those efforts we can combat bullying. We can learn the skills that are necessary to create a positive school environment.”

The event is funded through a grant from the California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA). The summit will include a variety of breakout sessions, some hosted by students. The topics will range from the use of social media to conflict resolution strategies at schools.

The summit is tomorrow from 8:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. at the Columbia College Campus.
