Thanksgiving Events Around The Mother Lode
There will be several community Thanksgiving Day events around the Mother Lode.
Christian Heights Church and the Heart Rock Cafe host their annual “Thanksgiving Meal with all the trimmings”. Today at 5:30pm. The free community dinner (including meals to go) details are here.
The Jamestown Youth Center Community Thanksgiving DinnerIs from 6:00pm to 8:00pm today at the Jamestown Community Hall. The dinner is presented by The Jamestown Youth Center & Sierra Bible Church. Details on the location are here.
7th Annual Klassen Klassic Turkey Trot begins tomorrow. The registration begins at 8:00am and the race is at 9:00am at Murphys Park. The entry fee is a canned food item, which will be donated to the local food bank. More details on the family friendly Thanksgiving day community race are here.
On Thanksgiving there is a free Thanksgiving Day Dinner from noon to 4:00pm at the Sonora United Methodist Church. Donations of food and help will be gratefully accepted. For more information view the event listing here.
Also on Thanksgiving there is a Free community dinner from 1:00pm till 4:00pm at the Ebbetts Pass Moose Lodge in Arnold. Delivery is available from Murphys to Dorrington. Contact information is in the event listing.
In Murphys there is another Thanksgiving Dinner from noon to 3:00pm. The Free Thanksgiving dinner is offered at the Murphys Covenant Church by local churches. The movie “An Old Fashioned Thanksgiving” will play at noon, and again at 1:30pm in the sanctuary. Reservations are required details are in the event listing here.
