Supervisors Hear Report on Conservancy Plan

At least one member of the Tuolumne County board of Supervisors has a problem with a proposed new
statewide entity. The Sierra Nevada Conservancy would be a 21-member appointed group, empowered to buy forest land for environmental
protection.
Supervisor Dick Pland believes if the entity is to be formed, there should be greater participation from individual counties.
