A Dorrington man is in Calaveras County Jail, after deputies say he beat and robbed a Murphys man in
Arnold.
19 year old Charles Gartside Williams Jr. is charged with burglary and assault with a deadly weapon. The responding deputy found the victim
with severe head wounds after being hit with a baseball bat. Witnesses say Williams and a companion forced their way into the residence and attacked the
victim. The second suspect is still at large.
