Family To Family Hits Record

More than 170 less fortunate families will receive food baskets and Christmas presents this weekend because of the generosity of the Mother Lode Community.

The “Family to Family” Christmas Project is co-sponsored by Country 93.5 KKBN, Star 92.7, AM 1450 KVML and Benites Distributing. Radio station Promotions Director Kim Fischer said this year´s total of 172 families, and 483 children helped, is a new record.

U.S. Bank in Twain Harte, Central Sierra Bank in Jamestown and Bank of America downtown and East Sonora helped gather presents for the “angels.”

The schools and agencies who helped find families who needed help this holiday season, included: Belleview Elementary, Black Oak Elementary, Columbia Elementary, Curtis Creek Elementary, Jamestown Elementary, Sonora Elementary, Soulsbyville Elementary, Sullivan Elementary, Summerville Elementary, Twain Harte Elementary, ATCAA and ICES.

The Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department, Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Posse, CHP and Sonora Police Department will be delivering food baskets and presents all over the Mother Lode this weekend.
