No Let-up In Sight Yet For Storms
A series of howling California storms have contributed to at least two deaths.
The California Highway patrol closed U.S. 50 for three hours Friday night, after a large tree fell across the trans-Sierra highway, killing two travelers.
High winds have caused blackouts for more than one million people in the northern part of the state since Wednesday and heavy rains have flooded roadways.
That wasn´t enough to keep more than 36,000 fans away from San Francisco´s Pacific Bell Park last night, where winds died down enough to allow the Rolling Stones to put on their show.
A spokesman for the National Weather Service says another storm could drop half an inch of rain before it clears out tomorrow. In the Nevada mountains, forecasters say between two and four feet of snow could fall around Lake Tahoe today.
