Poll Show Davis Still In Lead

A Public Policy Institute of California poll shows Governor Davis is favored by 41 percent of likely voters to challenger Bill Simon’s 31 percent. Davis says he is pleased with the survey. He attributes the lead to progress in schools, fighting crime and other issues. Simon says the poll “looks pretty good” because Davis has been unable to increase his lead.
The California Farm Bureau endorsement for Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Simon came with a check. The Farm Bureau gave Simon $25,000 yesterday as he made a campaign stop in Tulare.
