Drugs Taken From Supermarkets

Alameda County health officials have raided two supermarkets and confiscated hundreds of illegally marketed pharmaceuticals. Products such as viagra, birth control pills and antibiotics were being sold mostly to Hispanic customers.
It is illegal to sell prescriptions without a pharmacy license. Health officials say they plan to check other stores for unauthorized drugs, which can cause dangerous side effects.
