Additional Bone Found In D. C. Park

Sponsored by:

Private investigators have found a human leg bone not far from where Chandra Levy´s remains were discovered in a Washington D.C. park. Investigators hired by the Levy family also found some twisted wire, which may have been from a coat hanger. People familiar with the investigation say Washington´s medical examiner has determined it is probably Levy´s left shin bone. The bone reportedly yielded no clues about how Levy died. The bone found yesterday was about 25 yards from Levy´s remains.

There were signs it had been moved by an animal. Washington Police Chief Charles Ramsey says it´s “unacceptable” that police didn´t find the items during a search of Rock Creek Park after Levy´s skull was found last month. A lawyer for the Levy family says it´s “disturbing.”
