No Body On Priest´s Truckee Property

Sponsored by:

Police found nothing in a three-day search at the Truckee vacation home of a former priest. But they say they´ll return later to search the ground with sonar. They were looking for clues in the disappearance of seven-year-old Amber Swartz-Garcia, who vanished from Stephen Kiesle´s Pinole neighborhood 14 years ago. Kiesle was charged last month with three counts of child molestation involving other girls. Fourteen other alleged victims have come forward. Two were Pinole residents. Truckee police say they´re also investigating allegations that Kiesle molested three eight and nine-year-old girls in the area in the 1990s. Police have not revealed any evidence linking Kiesle to Amber. His lawyer says police are violating Kiesle´s privacy and ruining his name.

Kiesle plead no contest in 1978 to lewd conduct for tying up and sexually molesting two boys. Because it was a misdemeanor, the case was expunged from Kiesle´s record. That´s why police didn´t interview him when Amber disappeared.
