Woman To Stand Trial For Shooting Death

A 55-year-old woman was ordered Tuesday to stand trial on second-degree murder charges in connection with the fatal shooting of a man near Copperopolis last month.
Dianna Lynn Andersen was told to return to Calaveras County Superior Court Jan. 5 for formal arraignment. Andersen was being held in the county jail in lieu of $350,000 bail after Tuesday´s hearing.
Andersen originally was arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the Nov. 10 shooting death of Robert Lee Rochester at a duplex in the Diamond “20” subdivision, west of Copperopolis. Authorities say Andersen admitted shooting Rochester, 45, during a confrontation at the duplex.
