College Offers Dream Class

Sponsored by:

Throughout history, dreams have been sources for predictions, psychological understanding, and physical and emotional healing.

Dream work is a direct route to the psyche and is an excellent tool for self-understanding. In the first of eight classes, instructor Suzan Lee Stills, Ph.D. will introduce the basics of depth psychology, or the psychology of the unconscious.

Participants will be encouraged to keep a dream journal, and will be taught techniques for remembering dreams when awake.

The next seven class sessions will cover topics, such as the mythic themes and symbolic imagery which occur in dreams; the importance of dream work in problem solving, creative inspiration, and emotional and physical healing; death dreams; and animal imagery in dreams.

Classes will be held on eight consecutive Thursdays, beginning on October 16 from 9 a.m. to Noon at the Tuolumne County Senior Center. Cost is $65 per person and the registration deadline is October 7. For more information, call the college Community Education Office at 588-5144.
