Amber Alert Issued For Missing Girl

California Highway Patrol officials issued an Amber Alert for a Michigan girl missing since Saturday. Michigan authorities say 14-year-old Lindsey Ryan is with 56-year-old convicted murderer Terry Drake. The two were spotted Wednesday at a hotel in Grass Valley, about 60 miles northeast of Sacramento.

CHP officials say the FBI asked California to issue the Amber Alert because investigators felt Ryan had been abducted. CHP spokeswoman Anne DaVigo says Drake has made statements that he´d be camping along the Yuba River in Downieville, about 30 miles north of Grass Valley.

DaVigo says Drake is believed to be driving a 1995 white Dodge Dakota truck with Indiana plates. Drake pleaded guilty to kidnapping and killing a woman in 1977 but was released in 1993.
