Placerville Jury Finds Woman Guilty

An El Dorado County jury has found a mother guilty of the kidnapping and first-degree murder of her nine-year-old daughter. Prosecutors say Lisa Platz kidnapped her daughter, Rebecca, at gunpoint from her Bellingham, Washington, home in 2001. Platz later allegedly slashed her daughter€™s throat during a police standoff.
