Tuolumne County Sheriffs spokesman Sgt. Roger Dittberner told MyMotherLode.com news this morning Nesler turned himself in to bail bondsman Leonard Padilla at his H Street office in Sacramento at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday evening. Padilla then called police and the FBI.

Dittberner says local authorities have 5 days to bring nesler back to Tuolumne County. They´ll then have 48 hours to arraign Nesler on murder charges.

Nesler is being held in Sacramento County Jail until Tuolumne County authorities can pick him up.

Dittberner said everyone is relieved that the manhunt came to a successful end without more violence or tragedy.
