Conrad Makes Plea Bargain In DUI Case

Actor Robert Conrad struck a plea bargain Tuesday with Calaveras County prosecutors over a felony drunken driving charge from last year.

The Calaveras County resident pleaded no contest, which means he accepts conviction without admitting anything.

In return, the county withdrew a separate charge of driving with an alcohol blood level of more than 0.08 percent and causing bodily harm.

Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 23. Under the agreement, Conrad faces five days in county jail, a year´s suspension of his driver´s license and a restitution fine of up to $10,000,

Conrad, star of the 1960s TV show “Wild, Wild West,” risked a maximum three years in state prison if he had been convicted at trial.
