Garbage Collection Rates Increasing

Look for your trash collection rates to increase.
In a 3-1 vote Tuesday, by the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors, Cal Sierra Disposal, Moor Brothers, and Burns Refuse all got approved rate increases
The Sonora City Council approved a similar increase for its Cal Sierra Disposal customers last month.
The exact figures depend on where you are and what service you get, but one can of trash will cost you $1.27 more per month if you´re a Cal Sierra customer.
Burns and Moor Brothers customers can look for hikes of more than three dollars per month.
The new rates will take effect Monday.
Supervisor Mark Thornton was the single vote against the increase, calling for an evaluation of the county´s trash disposal services.
