Looking for a city that´s almost violence-free?
A recent F-B-I report ranks the coastal community of Palos Verdes Estates the least violent city with a population of 10-thousand or more. Only one felony was reported in the wealthy enclave in Santa Monica Bay last year. Otherwise, residents say they worry less about violence than cars speeding faster than the 35 miles an hour limit on the main street.
Palos Verdes Estates has even fewer crimes than gated neighborhoods or coastal communities like Malibu, which has a smaller population. It may be more peaceful because it´s geographically isolated. The city wraps like a horseshoe around the Palos Verdes Peninsula and is 25 minutes removed from the nearest freeway.
