Rewards Offered For Modesto Window Vandals

Police in Modesto are asking the public for assistance in finding some suspected vandals.

Since the beginning of the year, police have received more than 100 reports of windows of businesses having been shot out by someone using either a sling shot or a BB gun. The suspects aren´t sticking with closed businesses, however. Officials say employees and customers were inside some of the targetted businesses, and a few occupied homes were hit as well.

Some of the vandalized businesses have had video cameras in the parking lots, which are helping police. And now, rewards are being offered for information which helps the cops catch the criminals.

Since the costs of replacing many of the windows is in excess of 400 dollars, the crime is being considered a felony.
