Icy Road Causes Big Oak Crash

Jamestown, CA — CHP is blaming icy road conditions and speed for a single vehicle accident in Big Oak Flat this morning.
CHP Spokesman Brad Schultz says a Chevy Trail Blazer being driven by 36-year-old Jill Saitta of Groveland was traveling westbound on Harper Road about a half mile east of Black Road just before 7:30 when Saitta apparently lost control and slid into a rock wall.
Sixteen-year-old Cassandra Saitta was reportedly one of three passengers in the car. Schultz says Cassandra was knocked unconscious and suffered a severe laceration to her face.
The other passengers aged five and eight received minor injuries. Cassandra Saitta was airlifted to Doctor´s Hospital In Modesto for treatment.
