Supervisors Consider Use Of Grant Money – Tax Increase

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors will have two funding issues to consider at tomorrow´s weekly meeting.

Board members will be taking public input on whether to reallocate $500,000 from a Community Development Block Grant from the Groveland Senior/Youth Center and the Family Health and Wellness Center Renovation to the purchase of equipment for the County Dental Clinic, as well as Food Bank operations and and Job training.

The board will also look into the issue of placing a measure before voters to increase the county sales tax for fire protection. The panel will consider how much the tax increase will be and what it will be used for.

The board will also consider a contract with the William Berry Group for assistance with educational and informational materials.

The meeting gets underway at 9:00 tomorrow morning at the board chambers on South Green Street in Sonora.
