City Helps Get The Lead Out

The City of Sonora will help homeowners “get the lead out” at a safety training course on February 25th.
The Lead Safety for Remodeling, Repair and Painting course was developed by the EPA and HUD. The class will teach contractors and sub-contractors how to safely handle lead based paint. A $10 fee for the class also covers the cost of a workbook.
The city of Sonora requires all contractors and subcontractors to take the class prior to working on any Rehabilitation Project funded through the city´s Rehabilitation Program.
The course will be held at Sonora City Hall starting between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Contact City Hall at 532-7725 for more information.
