San Andreas, CA — Three major local school board races were decided Tuesday.

These are the unofficial results before final canvassing takes place.

On the Bret Harte Union High School District board the two open trustee seats went to incumbent Joan Lark and newcomer Gail Bunge, a substitute teacher. Incumbent Tony Tyrrell was not re-elected. The district has three schools including Bret Harte High School.

And on the Calaveras Unified School District Board of Trustees veteran trustee Gerri Conway will no longer be representing trustee area 2. Conway was beat out by longtime teacher Evan Garamendi. The district covers the north half of Calaveras County and has 11 schools serving more than 3,500 students.

Three spots were filled Tuesday on the Vallecito Union School District Board of Trustees. Trustees Jill Bray and Ralph Emerson were re-elected and newcomer Mike Milward was put into office. The district has three schools with approximately 910 students; Hazel Fischer and Michelson elementary schools and Avery Middle School.
