Jamestown Accident Victim Dies

Sonora, CA — 49 year old Erick Allan Kays of Jamestown died Saturday at Doctor´s Medical Center in Modesto.

Kays fell off a vehicle driven by 40 year old Lisa Jane Ramey of Jamestown early Friday morning at Railbed Rd. and Pulpit Rock in Jamestown. At the time, Sheriff´s deputies reported that Ramey was intoxicated and the two had been involved in an altercation.

Kays was seated on the rear of the car when Ramey reportedly accelerated and then swerved the vehicle. Kays fell off the car near the side of the road and was reported near death Friday morning.

At the time Ramey was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with bail being set at $30,000. Following Kays´ death, Lt. Dan Bressler reports that additional charges are expected to be filed against Ramey.
