Back To School In Calaveras

Calaveras County, CA — The long hot days with nothing to do are over for some Calaveras County kids as schools are back in session.
The Vallecito Union School District begins classes at its three campuses Wednesday.
The district´s schools include Albert Michelson in Murphys, Hazel Fischer in Arnold and Avery Middle School in Avery.
Avery Middle School 7th grade teacher and athletic director Patti Johnson says the school was painted over the summer and some new landscaping was installed.
Combined, the district has 910 students.
