Report Looks Good For Boat Patrol Activity

Lake Don Pedro, CA — The preliminary stats are in from the Tuolumne County Boat Patrol deputies and it seems it was a very safe weekend on Lake Don Pedro.

The boat patrol deputies and sheriff´s volunteer staff put in 720 enforcement hours on the lake over the four-day weekend.

Boat patrol deputies arrested eight boaters, five for boating under the influence and three for being drunk in public. They wrote a total of 54 citations. Reports indicate the most impressive statistics were the low number of boating accidents. There were only two reported, with only one injury.

Lt. Dan Bressler says to have as many boaters on the water as they did and to only have two reported accidents is a credit to the work of the boat patrol force for maintaining a high enforcement visibility and to the boating public for being aware of those around them and for being diligent in following boating regulations.
