CDF Asking For Public’s Help In Arson Watch

San Andreas, CA — The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection is asking for the public´s help in reporting arson, after a seven-acre grass fire caused $1,400 damage in Calaveras County.

CDF officials say 19-year-old Carlos Claudio is in custody thanks to someone who called authorities to report that he started the fire.

Now that fire season is in full swing, the CDF is urging residents to report any suspicious actions seen at or near the site of fires by calling the Arson Tip Hotline at 1-800-468-4408.

You may remain anonymous, and you may receive a reward for the information if an arrest and conviction takes place.
