Motorcyclist Dies Near Little Sweden

Sonora, CA — A motorcyclist was found dead near the Highway 108 Overlook Turnout just east of Little Sweden Saturday afternoon.
At 2:45 the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department received a call regarding a parked motorcycle on fire with its driver running from the scene.
According to Lt. Dan Bressler of the Sheriff´s Department, deputies, Highway Patrol officers and fire personnel responded and discovered a middle aged male lying 75 feet from the motorcycle in the bushes dead of apparent head trauma. His description matches that of the motorcyclist.
The Sheriff´s Department has yet to release the victim´s identification pending notification of next of kin. The investigation into the incident is continuing.
