Foundation Grants Help Keep Elderly Services Running

Sonora, CA– Services to the Elderly in Tuolumne County have received a total of $35,000 dollars in grants through the Sonora Area Foundation.
The grant was distributed through the programs including the Dial-A-Ride program which provides door-to-door rides for seniors to non-emergency medical and personal care appointments and the Meals on Wheels program which delivers meals to elderly people´s homes.
Along with elderly programs, several other foundation grants were awarded including a grant to help pay for a Groveland skate park and basketball courts, The Sonora High water polo team and the Habitat for Humanity.
