Calaveras Office of Education Goes On Trial

San Andreas, CA — A trial date of December 14 is now set for a wrongful termination lawsuit against the Calaveras County Office of Education.
In a case filed in November 2004, Cathy Stone Carlson and Jackie Hamilton allege they were denied equal pay to their male counterparts. They are suing for wrongful termination, sexual discrimination and sexual harassment.
The lawsuit names the Office of Education, Superintendent Jim Frost, Bret Harte Unified High School District and its Superintendent Joseph Wilimek.
During a case management conference Monday, the trial date was set along with a mandatory settlement conference in November.
