Robbery Suspects Apprehended

Sponsored by:

Jamestown, CA — Thanks to the efforts of two un-named Mother Lode residents and the combined efforts of the Sheriff´s Department and the Sonora Police, 19 year old Elisha Scott Masterson of La Grange and 26 year old Justin Ocie Butler of Coulterville find themselves housed in the Tuolumne County Jail.

They were arrested Friday after being identified and charged with robbing the U-Kneada Pizza restaurant on March 9 and breaking into the See´s Candy booth at the Sonora Crossroads Shopping Center Friday evening. A Blockbuster clerk was accosted by the pair while he was making notice of their license plate number following that breakin.

Lt. Mark Stinson of the Sonora Police Department reports later Friday evening a U-Kneada Pizza employee noticed a white Lexus in Jamestown similar to the one that had been involved in the March 9th robbery. He quickly called 911 and when the license plate matched the one reported by the Blockbuster clerk and two U-Keada Pizza employees identified the two men as the March 9 perpetrators, the arrest was made by Sheriff´s deputies.

The pair are being held on $80,000 bail each.
