It’s New Month With The Same Old Weather

San Francisco, CA — Weather-weary residents reeling from the Bay Area´s second-wettest March on record should expect more rain.

Forecasters say the westerly wind pattern that has blown storms into California for the past month shows no signs of going away for at least two more weeks.

The daily soakings have forced the cancellations of many activities in the Bay Area.

The National Weather Service says rainfall in San Francisco reached 8.7 inches last month, second only to the 9 inches that fell in March of 1983. The city had rain on 25 days, breaking a previous record from 1904, when it rained 23 days. Oakland, San Rafael and Santa Rosa also broke rainy-day records for March.
