Candle Light Tribute For Nita Mayo Thursday Evening In Sonora

Sonora, CA — The children of a Nevada woman missing since August are organizing a birthday celebration for her.
Nita Mayo turns 65-years-old today. She has been missing since August 8th when she left her home in Nevada to travel to the California side of the Sierras for a day trip.
Because Mayo will not be in Hawthorne to celebrate her birthday, her friends are holding a celebration event including a balloon release tribute.
An across the nation prayer vigil is also scheduled for 5:00pm and the one in the Mother Lode is at the Sonora Baptist Church on Stockton Road.
Organizers are asking people to unite and pray for answers and clues to help bring Mayo home.
