Marijuana Plant Pull Continues To Grow

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — “Close But No Cigar” (no captured bad guys) was the story this weekend for the Tuolumne Narcotics Team and U.S. Forest Service personnel.

Friday as they entered an illegal marijuana grow in the area of Hardin Flat Rd. and Golden Arrow approximately one-and-a-half miles from the Yosemite Park boundary, two to three Mexican males successfully escaped.

Left behind: two loaded shotguns, a loaded 9mm handgun, two pellet rifles and 8,212 plants that were eradicated the very next day by T.N.T., the Sheriff´s Department S.W.A.T. Team, Sheriff Department detectives, a Bureau of Land Management agent and an agent from the Department of Justice.

Every time a plant is pulled another county record is set. The yearly total now stands at 93,823.
