Pair Of Household Hazardous Waste Events This Weekend In Calaveras County

San Andreas, Ca — Calaveras County residents have two opportunities to dispose of household hazardous waste this weekend.

A drop site will be set up Saturday from 9am to 1pm at the County Maintenance Yard in Arnold, located at 1191 Linebaugh Rd.

A second site will be operational Sunday from 9am to 1pm at the San Andreas Government Center at 891 Mountain Ranch Rd.

The events are limited to Calaveras and Alpine County residents only. State law mandates that individuals can drop off a maximum of 15 gallons of liquid and 125 pounds of solid hazardous waste per trip. Containers must be adequate to contain hazardous waste materials and sealed to minimize spills.

Items that are typically dropped off include batteries, electronics, appliances, solvents, paints and pesticides. For more information, contact 209-754-6399.
