Sonora City Council Approves Fiscal Budget

Sonora, CA — The city of Sonora´s fiscal budget for 2007-2008 was approved Monday evening at the City Council meeting.
The $4.7 million budget will become effective July 1.
Medical benefits will comprise approximately 14 percent of the total budget but, according to City Administrator Greg Applegate, there will be no increase this year as the city remains self insured.
If followed to the letter, the budget will show a surplus of approximately $154,000 by the end of the 2007-2008 fiscal year.
