Mono County Ablaze

Mono County, CA — Winds gusting to 65 miles-per-hour continue to plague firefighters fighting a fierce 650 acre blaze in Mono County.
The blaze has closed a 40-mile stretch of U-S 395. About 50 homes between Coleville and Walker are immediately threatened and another 150 structures are in the area of the fire. Close to 200 people have already been evacuated from the immediate area.
Tankers and helicopters were not utilized Tuesday due to the high winds.
There´s no estimate of containment or control.
