Miss Calaveras Crowned

Angels Camp, CA — Shayni Emerson of Avery emerged as the winner in Wednesday night´s Miss Calaveras Pageant at the Calaveras County Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee.
Emerson is a senior at Bret Harte High School and plans to attend Brigham Young University in the fall.
Along with the top honor Emerson was also named Miss Photogenic.

Emerson´s court is first runner-up Amy Mazzaferro and second runner-up Aimee Eason.
Earlier Wednesday, 15-year old Emily Lilly was crowned as this year´s Saddle Queen. The first runner-up was Kayte Lawrie and second runner up was Kelsey Markus.
