Charity Golf Tourney In Valley Springs Monday

Valley Springs, CA — Monday, May 14, is the 20th annual Calaveras Community Foundation Pro-Am Golf Tournament.
The game takes place at La Contenta. Teams consist of one professional and four amateurs.
Pros compete for $5,000 in cash prizes while amateurs play for various merchandise. Amateurs also have the opportunity to win a 2007 Subaru if they get a hole in one on the eighth hole.

Every year, the foundation gives out grants to help improve the quality of life in Calaveras County. Since 2001, the foundation has awarded more than 90 grants totaling more than $150,000.
