Selesia To Challenge District One Supervisorial Vote Count

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — According to Tuolumne County Clerk & Auditor-Controller Deborah Russell, Randall “Randy” S. Selesia, Sr. has requested a recount of the ballots cast in the November 4 District One supervisorial race.

The owner of Vic´s Towing filed his request in a timely fashion under the California Elections Code following the certification of the election by the Tuolumne County Registrar of Voters on November 24, 2008.

The recount will commence on Wednesday December 3, at 8am in the County Administrative Officer´s conference room on the fourth floor of the County Administration Center at 2 S. Green St.

Selesia will be responsible for the recount expense unless the certified vote count is overturned. He adds that amount could be anywhere between $600 and $1,500.

The certification of the General Election showed Incumbent Liz Bass with a 198 vote lead over Selesia.

Asked if he would ever run for a supervisorial position again, he answered, “Certainly. We´ll be back in another four years.”
