Briefcase Leads To Bomb Scare At Sonora DMV

Sonora, Ca — The Department of Motor Vehicles Sonora Office on Morningstar Dr. was evacuated Monday afternoon because a suspicious briefcase was located in the lobby.
The Sonora Police Department was contacted because none of the employees or customers knew who was the owner of the luggage.
The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department Bomb Squad was then called in, and determined that the briefcase did not contain any explosive devices. The briefcase was located at 12:30pm. It is not known why it was left at the DMV office.
